When daddy starts a new project a girl wants to help. She wants her project to be neat & organized. She wants to know what the next step is.

Boys..... want to take the project apart so they can do it the "right way" and
show you so you can do it "right" next time.

Girls see a tool box open & immediately see a band in a box.
Doesn't the ratchet set make a lovely flute?
Boys see a tool and take to taking something apart. Doesn't matter what it is, it needs to be fixed.
Disclaimer: Girls & boys equally have vivid imaginations. Girls can & do learn how to use tools effectively (me being one of them) and boys do use their imaginations to pretend objects are other things. We encourage this in both our children.
