And so the holiday season begins

You'll notice that it's another year of us trying to get a good picture with Santa. Sean had been doing well with the big guy holding him in passed years, but this year..... not so much. Meredith is again nowhere to be found. She again stayed just outside of the view of the camera playing with the faux snow. 




You can tell by this picture that Meredith has either told Sean that Santa is just as bad as Freddy Krueger or has just told him we're Jewish. Either way it yielded a picture for the ages and shows just how similar my kids really are.

Gotta love it! Way to keep the magic alive kids.

Some fun holiday stuff

Ok so first the fun. Yesterday was Meredith's Christmas pancake brunch at school. It was so nice to see some friends of ours & see Meredith playing with her friends.

 

Even Samantha was happy. She wore her prettiest dress. She made quite the impression.

She thought that Santa wouldn't know she was here. So when Santa came to Meredith's school, she could hardly contain herself. She sat in his lap & told him she was a good girl this year. He asked what she'd like for Christmas & she said she didn't want much. Just for everyone to be healthy & happy.

We set out to see the lights around the neighborhood after dinner. We happen to live really close to some of the best decorations ever. You can check out some pictures from last year here. It wasn't bitterly cold. Which was nice. We walked because traffic is a nightmare every holiday season over there.

Samantha had a ball. Meredith fell asleep & Sean; well..... couldn't have cared less. Rob & I enjoyed it too.

 

As we walked home we realized that there was a familiar animal just up ahead. We couldn't believe our eyes, but it was Rudolph! Imagine meeting Santa & Rudolph in the same day? Well Samantha doesn't have to wonder anymore.
