Decided it was a good day to get outside

SO I took Meredith on an adventure close to home. I strapped Meredith into her car and off we went. First we went for breakfast at a little deli up the block from us. As soon as we walked in she screamed "Eggie" and Gerard was nice to enough to order her up one. We have now been to this deli 3 times. It's a small place with decent food at good prices. And Gerard is a man with a memory. I didn't have to even say that we wanted an OJ with no ice & a coffee. Meredith got her eggie with toast & I ordered a BLT this morning. Mmmmmmmmm

Meredith likes to stand by the door with her toast & watch the people. She watches them walk to & fro and then watches the trains overhead. She's also quite fond of the stools that spin. Maybe next week we'll try to have lunch or something on those stools. I think she'd get a kick out of it.

Then it was off to the playground. The playgrounds here have sprinklers. Which is nice. Meredith was a little unsure at first. Plus the water is pretty cold. But it's hot out there today. 86 degrees when we left the house at 10ish. She played in the puddles and eventually made her way into the sprinkler. It was so cute. She ran back & forth giggling.

She went on the rocking bridge & was fine until the end. That's when she was unsure of how to get up the last few boards.

I asked her if she wanted to go on the swings & at first she didn't want to. I had to wonder who this child was. Certainly not my child as my child has never passed up an opportunity to go on the swings. When she needed a break from the water a very wet little girl ran over to the swings and I put her in.

Then it was more water time and then time to go home. In the car she went and we were off.

When she wakes up from her nap we'll go for some italian ices. MMMMMM
