And just when I thought life couldn't get any better, we had an adventure today.
After Rob finished working, we went out as a family. We walked the dogs. Ok... well.... Rob walked Dutchess and Meredith finally got to walk Brewster. This is not something I would ever allow her to do in NYC. It's just to dangerous. She was thrilled. She walked her puppy and even disciplined him when he wouldn't "come". Which I have to say was the cutest thing ever. She was so proud of herself. She took her responsibility very seriously.

We spent the early evening together as a family of 6. Yes I said 6. Meredith, Sean, Rob, Brewster, Dutchess & me. We walked down the road and up the hill to the stream. We watched the water for a little while. Meredith could not be pried away from her dog or her responsibility to walk him. She held onto him tight & he just stayed by her side. He's such a good boy and so calm. Rob let Dutchess go near the water where she promptly fell in. I felt bad for her, but it really was quite funny.

After a little while we continued on. We headed to the lake and the playground. Meredith of course wanted to go on the swings and so we did that for a little while. Rob & Meredith went to the top of the hill next to the lake & sat together. It was very precious. I wonder if they were both thinking the same thing. At that very moment she was "daddy's little girl". I'm sure Rob couldn't have been happier or felt any closer to her.

And then we walked back home. Meredith was tired by this point. Who can blame her? That was some walk. But... no adventure would be complete without some flower picking. And some deer er..... "deeah" spotting.

Can you guess what I'm feeling right now? Peace. It's a truly wonderful feeling.
