Today's adventure took us on a picnic

I had no idea what to do with Meredith today because I knew it was going to rain, but didn't know what time. I finally decided it was a good day for a lunchtime picnic. We invited our friends Krista & Angelina to come along and they did.




It was so nice to watch Meredith & Angelina play together. They really do play so nicely. The kids hardly ate, but they nibbled. And as always it was nice to be able to sit & talk to Krista.






The kids ran back & forth on the open field. It really is a great place to let the kids just run around. There are no cars. No high grasses and the grass is treated for ticks & other bugs. The only thing that would make it better is to maybe have the slushie stand open on hot days like today.



The kids could've cared less. They went down the hill & then Meredith fell coming back up. Which she thought was hysterical.



The girls looked at the flowers, picked them and Meredith even gave some to Krista. We went to the playground for a little while before heading home for naps. We had a great time with them as usual.






Meredith went right to sleep when we got home and slept for 2.5 hours. I took a little snooze with her & she climbed out of bed to wake me. The rest of the afternoon & evening were spent in the house listening to the thunder and laughing at Dutchess barking at the thunder.
