As hard as I tried to keep her from putting her feet in the water, she did it anyway. Can't say I wouldn't have done the same thing. She loved looking at the water and "imagining" all the fishies that were there. We didn't actually see any fish, but that didn't keep her from waving at them & clapping.

There are so many things I thought about when Meredith was a newborn. I couldn't wait to watch Cinderella with her and do her hair. I couldn't wait to play Barbie with her. I never thought about the things I actually would be doing & teaching her. Like the absolute joys of rolling down a hill. Yes folks..... picture it. A woman who is 31 weeks pregnant rolling down the hill and laughing with delight. Poor Sean. And then picture a petite little girl running down the hill after me laughing one of the hardiest laughs I have ever heard.

I watch her enjoy life so much and I wonder how I can make so that she always enjoys her life that much. I think about how I can help her to keep wondering and keep exploring. To keep asking why. I know I'll live to regret this asking why business when she's a little older, but I want her to always seek an explanation. I want her to always wonder what else something can do. In fact, I want that for both my kids. I hope that Sean will explore & ask why as well. I know he will just do it in his own way. I just hope he shares it with us.
Meredith inspected the grass and found some dandelions. She loves all kinds of plants, but something about the dandelions always gets her. Maybe because there are so many to pick & admire? Who knows? But who cares? She's loves them & she loves to share them.
We did make it to the playground and she went on the slide and then the swings. She actually didn't have a major fit when it was time to get off the swings. She was happy to go home & see the puppies.

As we climbed the steps to get into the house Meredith noticed a dragon fly and yelled "BUG!!!!!" It was so cute that she screamed it. She wasn't afraid of it. She wanted to get closer to look at it. As soon as she got to close, it flew away.
